Jeffrey has been an artist all his life, and earned his degree from Cornell University. During a brief leave of absence from school, Jeffrey moved to Manhattan where he began studying the Torah. He met his wife, Kathi, by chance when he and his father went to synagogue to recite the kaddish for his mother. Jeffrey and Kathi married in 1976, and two years later he established a New York City studio where he painted large oil canvases of the sky. He went on to explore the mystical side of Judaism, and became a synagogue artist and designer. Over the years, he has contributed artistically to many sanctuaries in the NY and NJ area, as well as in Israel. In 2009, Jeffrey had a stroke and successfully learned to paint with his left hand, allowing him to rediscover his craft.
